Where is my username located in the program settings?

you have forgotten or lost your username and password, please click here to access our lost license page. If you are looking for just your username in the program settings, please see the information below.

Following the purchase of ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 or ESET Smart Security, registered users receive an email containing a username and password. This username and password must be entered into the program to allow virus signature updates to be properly downloaded to your computer. In addition, to offer you the most timely response possible, this username will be required when requesting assistance from our Customer Care Department.

To locate your username in ESET NOD32 Antivirus 3.0 or ESET Smart Security, please see the steps below. To locate your username in ESET NOD32 2.7, please click here.

  1. Open the main program window by clicking the icon  in the Windows notification area or by clicking Start ? All Programs ? ESET? ESET Smart Security or ESET NOD32 Antivirus.
  2. From the main menu, click Update and then click User name and Password Setup...


  3. The License Details window will appear. In the Username: field, highlight the username with your mouse.

  4. To copy the username into your clipboard, right-click and then click Copy, or press CTRL + C (the CTRL and C keys together at the same time).
