SSDP stands for Simple Service Discovery Protocol. It can be used in Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) network environments. SSDP searches for upstream Internet gateways using UDP port 1900. When SSDP is enabled, the Brother devices will announce itself to any Universal Plug and Play client.
