Where can I find copies of previous scan logs? (4.0)

ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus keep logs of all previous scans that have been run on your computer. These scan logs are useful in determining whether previous threats have been successfully cleaned or deleted. Please follow the steps below to locate the scan logs:

  1. Open the main program window by clicking the ESET icon  next to the system clock or by clicking Start → All Programs → ESET → ESET Smart Security.

  2. To switch to Advanced Mode, click Change... in the lower left corner of the window or press CTRL + M on your keyboard.
  3. Click ToolsLog Files from the main menu.
  4. Select On-demand computer scan from the Log drop-down menu.
  5. Your previous scans should appear. Make sure that the status shows Completed.

  6. Right-click the line representing the most recently completed scan (top line). Click Export. Name the file 'Scan log', and save the file to the Desktop for easy access. Attach the log file to an email reply to Customer Care. Customer Care will examine the scan log and respond as soon as possible with the recommended steps to address the issue.
