ESET Mobile Security wins in prestigious Stiftung Warentest in Germany

BRATISLAVA, February 13th - ESET, the leader in cybersecurity research and a top European Union-based endpoint security company, recently won yet another test by Stiftung Warentest in Germany. The company’s flagship security solution for Android mobile devices, ESET Mobile Security, secured the best rank out of 17 tested products in the magazine’s January 2019 edition. The overall mark was 1.6, scoring as (good). It is the second win by ESET Mobile Security in the prestigious test in the last two years.

Testers at Stiftung Warentest especially highlighted the protection abilities of the product which received a mark of 1.5, and its user-friendliness, which received a score of 1.1. Stiftung Warentest also praised the fact that the solution is lightweight on the smartphone’s system receiving a mark of 1.6. The review emphasized that ESET Mobile Security does not share any data without the knowledge of the user. The review also noted that 11 of the other products tested did demonstrate sharing behavior, which was labeled as „critical“ issue.

ESET Mobile Security is available on Google Play both in free and premium versions. Additionally, ESET also offers another product to keep kids safer online – ESET Parental Control.

The test win comes just ahead of Mobile World Congress in Barcelona where ESET will showcase the latest version of the product. ESET will be exploring Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence, sharing new research and key findings in mobile security and showcase its security solutions at the global expo – taking place February 25 – 28, 2019 in Barcelona.  ESET will be exhibiting in Hall 7, stand 7H41.
